Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Threesum for the use of Threesum. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use Threesum.

1. You must be 18 or older

Threesum is an adults-only service. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, and every person represented on a profile must be at least 18. Couple profiles require both partners to meet this requirement and to consent to the profile.

We verify age by reading the date of birth from the government ID you submit during verification. Attempting to register using someone else's identity document, or a forged or altered document, is a violation of these terms and may be a crime. We will terminate accounts we believe belong to minors.

2. Verification is required

Before your profile becomes visible you must complete identity verification: a photo of a government-issued ID and a selfie. We compare the two to confirm the document belongs to you, and we read the date of birth to confirm you meet the age requirement. Browsing, matching, and messaging stay locked until verification succeeds.

3. Your account

One account per person or per couple. Keep your password confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information, including your age and whether you are joining as a single or a couple.

4. Conduct

You agree not to:

• harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse anyone;
• post content depicting anyone under 18, in any context;
• upload explicit, violent, or hateful imagery - photos are screened automatically and rejected content is not stored;
• impersonate anyone, or post photos of people who have not consented;
• solicit money, advertise, or recruit for commercial services;
• share other members' private information, photos, or messages off the platform;
• use bots, scrapers, or automated access.

Consent is the core rule here. Treat a match as the beginning of a conversation, not permission for anything else.

5. Content you post

You keep ownership of your photos and profile content. You grant Threesum a limited licence to host, display, and transmit that content for the purpose of operating Threesum. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

You are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it, including the consent of anyone else pictured.

6. Paid subscriptions

Threesum offers two optional subscriptions, billed through Stripe and renewing monthly until cancelled: Threesum Plus at $19.99/month and Threesum Discreet at $39.99/month. You can cancel at any time from Settings; cancellation stops future renewals and your paid features remain active until the end of the paid period. We do not provide partial refunds for unused time except where required by law. If we change a price we will tell you before the change takes effect.

7. Safety

Verification confirms that a member's ID matches their face and that they are 18 or older. It is not a background check. We do not screen for criminal history, and verification is not a guarantee that anyone is safe, honest, or acting in good faith. Use your judgement: meet in public first, tell someone where you are going, and stop if anything feels wrong. You meet other members at your own risk.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, that we believe belongs to a minor, or that puts other members at risk - in serious cases without warning. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your profile, photos, messages, matches, and login.

9. Service availability

Threesum is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service, and we may change or discontinue features.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Threesum is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the conduct of other members - online or in person. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will notify you, and continuing to use Threesum after it takes effect means you accept it.
